(Annual Peer-Reviewed Journal of Literary Studies published from Sukanta College)

Call for Papers for Inaugural Issue

Interpretations (Annual Peer-Reviewed Journal of Literary Studies) is currently seeking submission for its inaugural issue scheduled to be published in July/August 2024. The first issue of the journal would be an open issue and it welcomes articles in English on literature, discourse studies on visual culture, historical, philosophical and socio-political leanings of literature, theoretical aspects and other areas in literary studies in its broader sense. Interpretations addresses itself to a holistic study, analysis and understanding of literature, and the arts and culture, which is not dissociated from life but an active response to it. The journal aims to further an active and dynamic dialogue among scholars focussing on literary studies from various disciplinary angles. Complying with its interdisciplinary nature, Interpretations gives priority to research papers that address issues of literary studies which go beyond the given discipline. The journal would provide space for critical inquiries into various nuances of mainstream English Literature, World Literatures in English, Translation Studies, Bhasha Literatures, Literary Theories and Cultural Studies, Indian Writings in English etc. We welcome well written research papers in English from scholars around the globe for consideration for publication. Interpretations does not publish fiction or poetry and at present it does not seek book reviews.
